Can You Keep a Secret?

A good friend of mine asked me, "If I ask you, what do you want in your life? Would you be able to tell me now or do you need to think first?" 

Without hesitation, I said, "I need to think first." And can't help but feeling like a loser. 

I've been in this world like for ages but still couldn't figure out what I want in my life? If that doesn't sound pathetic, I don't know what is.
