I've mentioned before that I'd attended an interview and sitting for a test. Alhamdulillah, I've got an invitation for a second interview. So on Tuesday I went to the second interview at Jalan Ampang during lunch hour. It went ok, I guess, but I don't want to be too confident because I think there is a moment or two that my tongue got 'twisted'. It must be due to panic and nervousness (macamla tak penah gi interview...haha....). What a terrible mistake. I sure hope my knowledge and experiences will cover for it.
And coincidentally while browsing the internet just now, I found this very interesting article about some unbelievable stuffs people say during an interview. After recalling and reminiscing..hehe..I don't think I said any of the stupid things as mentioned in the article, phew!
So, below is the copied article for you to enjoy. People, don't do this at work!
P/S: Please wish me luck for that job interview, but if I don't get it...I don't really mind. Bukan rezekiku lagi. There will always be other job opportunities, right?
43 Things Actually Said in Job Interviews
"I'm not wanted in this state.""How many young women work here?"
"I didn't steal it; I just borrowed it.""You touch somebody and they call it sexual harassment!"
"I've never heard such a stupid question."
Believe it or not, the above statements weren't overheard in bars or random conversations -- they were said in job interviews.
Maybe you were nervous, you thought the employer would appreciate your honesty, or maybe you just have no boundaries. Whatever the reason, you can be certain that you shouldn't tell an interviewer that it's probably best if he doesn't do a background check on you. (And yes, the hiring manager remembered you said that.)
We asked hiring managers to share the craziest things they've heard from applicants in an interview. Some are laugh-out-loud hysterical, others are jaw-dropping -- the majority are both. They will relieve anyone who has ever said something unfortunate at a job interview -- and simply amuse the rest of you.
